このツアーは、日本古来の衣食住の文化を知っていただくのがコンセプト。着物を身に纏い、太古は縄文時代から始まる穴窯の陶器で、茶道や華道を器とともに楽しんでいただく陶芸見学ツアーです。日本の産地に合った土にこだわり、その土が持つ本来の力と、造形が織りなす世界をぜひ、この文化体験を通じて感じていただけたら幸いです。
陶芸家の先祖が暮らしてた生家が工房となり、馬小屋や農具倉庫が現在のギャラリーとなっています。洞爺の自然とマッチした環境の中で育まれたアトリエと作品をぜひ、実際に手にして感じてみてください。作品たちがあなたと出会えること楽しみに待っています。
This tour lets you experience traditional Japanese culture through clothing, art, and daily life.
You will wear a kimono and enjoy a tea ceremony and flower arrangement using handmade pottery fired in an anagama kiln, an ancient Japanese kiln used since the Jomon period. This is a guided pottery studio tour where you can see, learn, and enjoy traditional crafts together with beautiful ceramic pieces.
The pottery is made using carefully chosen clay from different regions of Japan, highlighting the natural beauty and strength of the earth. Through this experience, we hope you can feel the deep connection between nature, tradition, and craftsmanship.
The pottery studio is located in the artist’s family home. Old buildings such as a horse stable and farm storage have been turned into a gallery. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Toya, the studio and artworks reflect the harmony between nature and art.

Japanese culture experience course through pottery
Special Cultural Experience Course
one-day tour that features the tea ceremony and ikebana, using ceramic vessels fired in anagama kilns, a technique that dates back to the Jomon period.
The experience takes place at the ceramic artist’s birthplace in Toya, which also serves as the artist’s atelier. Visitors can see and touch works created using two traditional firing methods: the noborigama (climbing kiln) and the anagama kiln.

The experience takes place in the ancestral home of a skilled potter by the tranquil Lake Toya, which also serves as their atelier. Here, you can admire the artistry of their creations up close and even acquire a piece to take home, making this tour as memorable as it is enriching.

You will visit a gallery featuring pottery fired in ancient "anagama" and "tobagama" kilns, which have been passed down since the Jomon period. Items from this gallery are also available for purchase. How about taking one as a souvenir to remember your trip to Japan?
